Favourites
Favourites is the one place that collects everything you have starred at an event: sessions, talks, posters, speakers and exhibitors. Star an item while you browse, and it is waiting on your Favourites page when you need it.
You need to be signed in. Favourites are tied to your account, so what you star on the web appears in the hey ema app and the other way round. Favourites are always available; the organizer cannot switch them off.
Me > My Event > Favourites
On the web, open the My Event menu in an event and choose Favourites, or open Favourites in the Me portal sidebar to see every event at once. In the hey ema app, tap your profile picture on Home and choose Favourites. Some events also add a Favourites tile to the Home Quick Access grid.
Over a week, an attendee stars four exhibitors in the directory, two posters and a keynote. On the morning of the event they open Favourites, filter to Exhibitors, and walk the floor in the order they saved them.
Starring and Un-starring
Tap or click the star on a session, talk, poster, speaker or exhibitor to save it. Tap it again to remove it. The same star works on every list and detail page that shows one.
Starring a session also adds it to My Agenda. Favourites is the wider list: it holds the non-session items too.
The Favourites Page
Each event has its own Favourites page. The chips along the top filter it by type: All, Sessions, Talks, Posters, Speakers and Exhibitors, each with a count. Choosing a chip keeps the choice in the page address, so you can bookmark a filtered view. Each item has a remove button; removing an item takes it off the list straight away. Selecting a poster opens its ePoster page. If the organizer has switched ePosters off, a starred poster is listed under Talks and opens its talk page instead.
On the web, Favourites in the Me portal sidebar shows every event you have starred something in. Each event is its own group with its item count, a preview of the items you starred most recently, and a View all link to that event's full Favourites page. Events that are happening now or coming up come first.
An empty page says No favourites yet. If you pick a type with nothing in it, the page says No matching favourites instead; choose another chip.
Favourites only lists items that are still published and visible to you. If the organizer unpublishes a session or hides a speaker, it disappears from your list and from the counts. ema keeps the star, so the item returns if it is published again.
Only My Favourites
Long lists have an Only my favourites toggle that narrows them to the items you have starred.

- The toggle is hidden on the web when you are signed out.
- On the web, the schedule, Sessions, Talks and ePosters lists keep the toggle in the page address, so a bookmark returns to the filtered list. Everywhere else it starts off each time you open the list.
- Clearing the filters on a list also turns the toggle off.
- If you have no favourites of that kind, the list says, for example, No favourite speakers yet, and Show everything turns the filter off.
- In the app, the agenda toggle covers both sessions and talks.
Check Your Work
- Star a speaker and an exhibitor.
- Open Favourites and confirm both appear, and that the Speakers and Exhibitors chips each show a count of one.
- Open the Speakers list and turn on Only my favourites. Only that speaker should remain.
