App Navigation
The hey ema mobile app is designed around fast access to the things attendees need most during an event: agenda, meetings, networking, engagement, wayfinding, and their own event identity.

Open the mobile app and choose your event. The bottom navigation bar has five tabs: Home, Agenda, ema, Live, and Scan.
Core Navigation Areas
The bottom tabs are:
- Home — the event hub: the event banner with today's date and what's happening now, a Quick Access grid of tiles chosen by the event organizer (which can include networking, exhibitors, speakers, posters, messages, and more), and, unless the event team has turned it off, a My Portal tile that opens your Me portal inside the app. Unless the event team has added their own items for them, Quick Access also shows a Talks tile when the event has a programme and a Posters tile when the event has published ePosters — see Browse Talks and ePosters.
- Agenda — the full event schedule and session details, with Talks, Posters and Speakers links under the header to browse every talk, poster or speaker
- ema — opens the ema AI chat assistant as an overlay rather than a separate screen
- Live — sessions happening right now, plus sessions starting in the next 30 minutes and those that ended in the last 5. When nothing is on, View agenda takes you to the full schedule
- Scan — the camera scanner used for check-in, connecting with other attendees, and exhibitor lead capture
Account settings are reached by tapping your profile picture at the top of the Home tab, not from the bottom navigation. The bell icon next to it opens your notifications.
The Account menu always includes Favourites (everything you have starred) and My event pass. Neither depends on which features the organizer has switched on, so they stay reachable even when the event has no My Agenda. The organizer can also add either one to the Quick Access grid on Home; a Favourites tile opens the same screen, and a My Pass tile opens your pass. See Favourites and My Pass.
If You Can't Find Something
The app only shows what the event team has enabled and published. If a feature seems to be missing:
- the feature may not be enabled for this event
- the content may not be published yet (for example, the Posters tile stays hidden until the event has published posters)
- your role or registration type may not include access
When in doubt, check the event's web portal or ask the event organizer.
