My Pass
Your digital event pass is your ticket to the event. It contains a unique QR code that staff scan at check-in points to verify your registration and grant access.
Your pass only appears once your registration is Confirmed. If your registration is still Pending Approval, Pending Payment, or on the waitlist, you'll see a message that no pass is available yet -- check back once the organizer confirms your registration.
Me > My Pass
Open the event-specific Me portal and select My Pass. You can also reach a pass from a registration detail page.
An attendee adds their pass to Apple Wallet the night before the event. At the venue, they open the wallet pass from the lock screen, show the QR code to staff, and move through check-in without searching for a confirmation email.
What You See in ema
Open Me > My Pass to see:

If you're registered for more than one event, Me > My Pass lists a pass section for each event you're registered for. If you're viewing an event-specific portal instead, you see just that event's pass.
This information is pulled from your registration record. If any details are incorrect, contact the event organizer to update your registration.
Check-In
When you arrive at the event, present your QR code to staff at check-in points. You can show it on your phone screen or present a printed copy.
- Hold your phone steady with the QR code facing the scanner.
- Increase screen brightness before approaching the scanner to ensure a fast, clean read.
- Check-in points may be located at the venue entrance, individual session rooms, or specific zones depending on how the event is configured.
Each scan is recorded, so event organizers can track attendance. You may need to check in at multiple points throughout the event depending on the setup.
Adding to Your Wallet
On your pass screen you'll see two separate buttons: Add to Apple Wallet and Add to Google Wallet. Use whichever matches your phone.
Wallet passes only appear if the event organizer has turned this feature on for the event. If you don't see the wallet buttons at all, the organizer hasn't enabled wallet passes for this event -- your QR code in ema still works for check-in either way.
Use the wallet pass when you want fast offline access at the venue. Use the in-app pass when you want to review registration details, switch between event passes, or confirm that recent changes are visible.
Tapping Add to Apple Wallet or Add to Google Wallet the first time requests that ema generate your pass -- this usually only takes a few seconds. If the button doesn't turn into a working link right away, wait a moment and reopen the page. Once generated:
- The button becomes a direct link that opens the pass in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet.
- The wallet pass shows the event name, dates, and venue in addition to your QR code.
- Access your pass with a double-click of the side button (iPhone) or from your wallet app (Android).
- The pass works offline -- no internet connection needed at check-in.
- The pass updates automatically if your registration details change -- you don't need to re-add it.
Adding to your wallet is optional but recommended. It is the fastest way to pull up your QR code when you arrive at a check-in point.
Multiple Passes
If you are registered for multiple events, you receive a separate pass for each registration. Each pass has its own QR code tied to that specific event.
Switch between passes from Me > My Pass. The page lists all your active registrations with the event name so you can quickly find the right pass.
Finding Your Pass
Your pass is always available under Me > My Pass in ema. If you have added it to your device wallet, you can also access it there.
If you cannot find your pass:
- Go to Me > My Registrations.
- Find the registration for the event you are attending.
- Open the registration to view your QR code.
Your QR code does not change, so any previously saved version (wallet, screenshot, printed copy) remains valid as long as your registration is active.
Pass and Badge Differences
Your digital pass in ema is for electronic check-in. Some events also provide a physical badge (a printed name card you wear at the venue). These are separate:
- Digital pass — the QR code in ema or your device wallet, used for scanning at check-in points.
- Physical badge — a printed card collected at the registration desk, typically worn on a lanyard during the event.
Both are linked to the same registration, but the physical badge is distributed on-site by event staff.
Add your pass to your device wallet before arriving at the event. It works offline, loads instantly, and saves you from searching through your apps at the check-in queue.
