Browsing Floor Plans
Interactive floor plans help you navigate the venue and find exhibitor booths, session rooms, and key facilities before and during the event.
Public event page > Floor Plans, or mobile app > Floor plan
Floor plans appear only after the event team publishes them.
Accessing Floor Plans
Floor plans are available from the event's public page. If the organizer has published floor plans, you can open the event's /floor-plans page and choose a plan.
Each event can have one or more floor plans depending on the venue layout. The organizer labels each plan so you can identify the right area — for example, "Main Hall", "Level 2", or "Outdoor Area".
Navigating the Canvas
The floor plan is rendered as an interactive canvas. You can explore it using the following controls:
Zooming
- Scroll wheel — scroll up to zoom in, scroll down to zoom out.
- Pinch gesture — on touch devices, pinch to zoom in and spread to zoom out.
- Zoom controls — use the on-screen zoom buttons if you prefer clicking.
Zoom in to see fine details like booth numbers and labels. Zoom out to get a full overview of the layout.
Panning
- Click and drag — click on any empty space and drag to move around the plan.
- Touch and drag — on touch devices, use one finger to pan across the canvas.
The canvas extends in all directions, so you can pan freely to explore every section of the venue.
Resetting the View
If you lose your orientation, use the reset or fit-to-screen control to return to the default view showing the entire floor plan.
Finding Exhibitors on the Plan
Use the Search exhibitors field to find a company by name. Matching exhibitors appear in the side list when the list is open.
Select an exhibitor from the list to highlight their location on the canvas. Select the same exhibitor again to clear the highlight.
Exhibitor directory cards can also link straight to a floor plan location. When you open one of those links, the matching booth is highlighted automatically.
An attendee searches for "Acme Health" on the floor plan, taps the highlighted booth, checks the hall name, and walks there after their current session ends.
Filters and Display Options
Use the toolbar to change how the floor plan is displayed:
- Filter — narrow the exhibitor list and dim non-matching booths by booth status or exhibitor tier, depending on the current color mode.
- Color by — switch the canvas between status colors and tier colors.
- Exhibitor list — show or hide the side list.
- Fit map to screen — reset the view around the plan content.
Multiple Floor Plans
Events with multiple halls, floors, or zones have separate floor plans. Return to the floor plans page to switch between them.
Understanding the Legend
Floor plans include a color-coded legend that explains the current visual coding on the canvas:
- Status — available, reserved, sold, and unavailable spaces.
- Tier — exhibitor tiers, when the organizer has configured them.
Refer to the legend whenever you are unsure what a color or pattern represents.
Tips for Using Floor Plans
- Search first — if you know which exhibitor you want to visit, use search rather than scrolling through the entire plan.
- Zoom in for details — booth numbers and labels become readable at closer zoom levels.
- Check multiple plans — if you cannot find an exhibitor, they may be in a different hall or zone. Switch between plans using the selector.
- Plan your route — zoom out to get a full view of the layout and identify clusters of exhibitors you want to visit.
