Access & Sign-in FAQ
Common questions about getting into hey ema.
What is hey ema?
hey ema is the platform your event organiser uses to run their event — registration, schedule, exhibitor and speaker portals, networking, and more. As an attendee, speaker, exhibitor, or reviewer you use it to manage your own participation. See Find Your Way Around ema for an overview.
Do I need an account to sign in?
Some things are public and need no account — event pages, published schedules, and public registration. To manage a registration or use a role portal you need an account, but there is no public sign-up: accounts are created by the organiser or through an invitation. If you need access, ask your event organiser. See Signing In and Account Access.
How do I sign in?
Go to your organisation's ema URL and enter your email and password. If your credentials are correct you land on your portal home. If your organisation uses single sign-on, use the SSO button instead of typing a password. Full detail is in Signing In and Account Access.
I forgot my password. How do I reset it?
Use the Forgot password link on the sign-in page, enter the email on your account, and open the reset link that's emailed to you. The link expires, so use it promptly — if it's expired, just request another. Steps are in Signing In and Account Access.
I can't sign in or I'm locked out. What should I do?
Check your email is spelled correctly, then use Forgot password to reset it. Confirm an administrator has created your account — you can't self-register. For SSO or SAML/OIDC sign-in problems, see SSO Login Issues; for other login trouble, see Common Issues.
I signed in but see "No organisation access". What now?
Your account exists but hasn't been added to an organisation yet. Ask your administrator to add you, then use Check Again or sign out and back in to pick up the access. See Signing In and Account Access.
How do I verify my email?
New accounts get a verification email — click the link in it and hey ema marks your address as verified. If it didn't arrive, use Resend Verification Email on the pending-verification screen and check your spam folder. See Signing In and Account Access.
