v1.3.0 — Booking Changes, Programme Management & Everyday Operations
Version: v1.3.0
What Changed For Your Team
This release brings more control to the work that happens after a booking is made: changing a ticket, adding a dinner place, replacing a delegate, collecting the difference, and checking what capacity remains. Staff can review the financial and attendance consequences together instead of treating a booking change as a simple edit.
Programme teams gain improvements across submission, peer review, decisions, speaker preparation and publishing. Everyday administration also gets easier: tables remember how you left them, exports include the full matching list, and broadcast drafts stay separate from scheduled sends.
Highlights
Review a Booking Change Before Committing It
Registration changes now bring the booking, money and available places into the same review. Category changes, add-on changes, transfers and cancellations follow the event's amendment policy, with clearer history and financial records for staff to inspect afterwards.
Organisers can set whether a reduction produces a refund, a credit note or neither, and whether required forms must be completed before a change. Dated cancellation fees use the event's confirmed timezone. A staff payment-review deadline can flag an unpaid change for attention without automatically cancelling the booking or releasing its places.
See Change Requests and Transfers and Registration Settings.
Manage Group Places and Later Purchases
Staff can create and manage group registrations, assign and release places, and name placeholder invitations from the group details page. The group checkout's attendee picker now shows ticket types available for group purchase, and its attendee rows fit better on smaller screens.
Attendees buying extras after registering no longer repeat the registration form. The purchase retains guest-place answers and terms, shows extras already held or awaiting payment, and charges the person completing checkout. Card payments activate paid extras, and supported purchases can use payment plans.
See Group Registrations and Registration Add-ons.
Change Prices at an Exact Time
Price tiers can open and close at a time of day in the event's timezone. An early-bird tier can end at 8:00 am and the next tier start at exactly 8:00 am, with no gap between them. Checkout confirms the price when the purchaser completes the purchase, so reviewing a cart before a changeover does not lock in the earlier price.
Keep Your Table Setup and Export the Full List
Table views now persist across navigation, reducing the need to rebuild your working layout each time you return to a list. CSV and Excel exports can include all matching results rather than only the page currently on screen.
There are also refinements to table controls, sidebar navigation and page headers. Actions wrap on narrow layouts, and catalog selectors no longer repeat the same option text.
Schedule Messages Deliberately
Saving a broadcast creates a draft with no delivery date. Scheduling is a separate confirmation, and a scheduled broadcast offers Change delivery date… and Unschedule. Duplicate starts a new draft from an existing message without carrying its schedule forward.
Email work also includes a clearer template editor, server previews, distinct transfer messages, improved header and footer banners, and Outlook rendering fixes. Delivered Emails provides sent-message information and controlled resend and erasure actions.
See Broadcasts and Delivered Emails.
Detailed Changes
Registration and Capacity
- Staff have improved registration search, payment collection and recovery, refund handling, credit-note PDFs, and required-form handling.
- Booking history makes changes and their financial consequences easier to review. A confirmed booking still needs separate checks for payment, required forms and admission.
- Shared session capacity distinguishes places, waitlist offers and unique attendees. One attendee with several guest places consumes several places.
- Capacity reductions below existing allocations require an explicit exception; changing a limit does not cancel existing bookings.
- Signed-out waitlisted guests return to their offer after signing in.
- Upgrade totals, transfer fees, cancellation amounts and payment-message recipients have received corrections across staff and self-service flows.
- Registration banners and footers use responsive images, improving clarity across screen sizes.
Submissions, Reviews and Programme Publishing
Submission and programme management receive improvements across peer review, acceptance decisions, author and speaker identity, content processing and scheduling. Task tooling and milestones help teams track talk and session work.
Public programme readers now use consistent visibility rules, so content must meet publication requirements before appearing to attendees. Corrections also protect confidential review information and private speaker content, and improve how event menus reflect the features available to each viewer.
Finance and Payment Review
- Financial document access, approval and settlement checks have been tightened across invoices, refunds, procurement, reporting and checkout.
- Invoice accounting and budget cash figures are kept distinct, making it clearer what has been invoiced and what has actually been collected.
- Exchange-rate dates follow the tenant's accounting day rather than the server's day; time-entry currency handling also receives corrections.
- Exhibitor payment-plan instalments can be invoiced on their due dates.
- A manual journal that requires review cannot be posted by its own creator.
- Tenant-wide reports require tenant-wide reporting access when shared or viewed.
Exhibitor and Project Work
Exhibitor compliance work gains consistent calculations, previews, reminders and timeline improvements. Returning exhibitor buyers have a self-service email-verification step, and a zero-total checkout no longer gets stuck repeatedly rendering.
Project work includes improvements to first-run setup, My Work, time-entry integrity, task approvals and reminders. Irrelevant reminder emails are suppressed, and access-denied messages explain the missing permission more clearly.
At the Venue
Speaker preparation records check-in and handles recording consent, including audited overrides. Blocked presentation jobs are visible to operators, and updated presentation content follows the newest version.
Room holding screens update when their playlist changes, keep current and next session information fresh, and support image and video holding content. An empty playlist is visible rather than silently ignored. Multi-room allocations can name a primary room, helping operators direct content to the intended room.
Mobile
Mobile changes correct calendar dates and live-session timing, make refresh and retry behaviour more consistent, and improve session-screen stability. Account changes have stronger safeguards, and AI conversation history is preserved. Event access and programme visibility follow the viewer's permissions.
Mobile and venue-device availability depends on the app or device release used by your event; a hosted release alone does not confirm those updates are installed.
What You Need to Do
Before using the new booking-change controls, review your event's amendment policy, cancellation fees and required-form rules. If staff should follow up unpaid changes after a set interval, configure Outstanding staff changes under Project Settings > Registration > Booking amendment policy.
If your event uses timed price tiers, confirm the event timezone and the changeover times before advertising a deadline. When scheduling a broadcast, confirm its audience and delivery time in the scheduling dialog.
Teams using custom roles should review access to financial settings, shared reports and service accounts. API-key management can now be delegated through the Service accounts permission; access errors may identify grants your role needs explicitly.
Additional Improvements and Fixes
- Sign-in forms respond correctly to Enter, keeping their primary action visible.
- Permission checks now cover more comments, private downloads and event details, so access follows the record or event being viewed.
- Project codes in inbound email and calendar subjects match regardless of case.
- System email templates are available for every project, with corrections to project test sends and resend handling after a registration place is claimed.
