Nothing breaking, and being able to say who did what when somebody asks. Sign-on, the connections to other systems, and the data moving between them.

What they can do

• Configure single sign-on and automatic user provisioning.
• Connect and monitor the other systems the operator runs on, and re-authorise a connection that has expired.
• Issue and revoke API keys, and see what has been called.
• Investigate a failed sync and re-run it.

What they cannot do

• Do event work — they keep the plumbing sound, not the programme.
• Read an event's commercial detail purely by virtue of holding the keys.
