Where they work

In their own self-service portal, on the talks and sessions they are attached to. They usually arrive from an invitation email rather than a bookmark.

What they are responsible for

Turning up prepared. Knowing when and where they are on, what they owe and by when, and handing it over without emailing anybody to ask.

What they can do

  • Submit a talk, save it as a draft, and come back to it.
  • See the review outcome for their own submission.
  • Keep their biography, photo, and affiliations current for the programme.
  • Upload slides, papers, and documents against a deadline, and get a confirmation.
  • See their confirmed sessions with times and rooms, and record whether they consent to being recorded.
  • Work through the checklist the organiser set them.

What they cannot do

  • Move their own session, or change the schedule around it.
  • See other people's submissions, or who reviewed theirs.

Journeys they take part in

These are the end-to-end chains of work that name them — the steps they own, and the ones that only affect them.
